Slow-Feeder Ring makes sure that the roughage is spread over longer time and remedies feed waste.
Our Slow Feeder ring consists of a ring feeder (674) and a plastic cover (675) with 48 holes. You fill the ring feeder with hay, whereafter the cover is placed on top of the hay.
The cover in place ensures that the horses only eat small amounts of hay that they pull out from the holes in the cover. That way the access to the hay is limited and the total amount of feed lasts longer, which is beneficial for the horses’ digestion. Smaller bites of hay also remedy unnecessary feed waste
Holding a lot of hay in their mouth horses drop quite a lot of it on the ground while checking the surroundings. But holding a small amount of hay the waste is reduced drastically.
The ring feeder has a diameter of 128 cm (125 cm) and the weight is 30 kg. The cover has a diameter of 126 cm and the weight is 10 kg.
